大家好！我是 Kevin 叔叔。

我来自美国加州，在亚洲生活和工作已经超过 25 年。现在，我和太太正在华语地区陪着五岁的女儿 Liana 长大，所以对我来说，语言学习不只是教学，也是我们一家每天都会遇到的事。

我自己也还在学中文。有时候我学会了“左、右、上、下”，心里却在想：“很好……可是我只是想知道厕所在哪里啊！”

这也让我开始用不同的角度看女儿的英语课。她会学 ABC、颜色、动物和形状——这些当然都很重要——但我更希望她能学到马上用得到的英语，比如：“你叫什么名字？”“我可以和你一起玩吗？”“我需要帮助。”

后来我还发现一件很有趣的事：有时候 Liana 跟 Bo 说话，比跟爸爸学得更好！

就这样，Kevin 叔叔和 Bo 成为了搭档。

你也会发现，我的中文并不完美，有时候真的只能说是马马虎虎！我的视频也不是好莱坞级别的制作。我更愿意把时间和资源放在课程本身，想办法用简单又有趣的方式帮助孩子学英语。

ABC With Me 的目标很简单：教孩子今天学、今天就能用的英语，让学英语就像和朋友一起玩、一起说话一样自然。

在一些视频里，你也会见到 Liana。毕竟，她正是我创立 ABC With Me 的原因之一。

Hi! I’m Uncle Kevin — Kevin 叔叔.

I’m originally from California, but I’ve spent more than 25 years living and working in Asia. Today, my wife and I are raising our five-year-old daughter, Liana, in a Chinese-speaking country, so I’m experiencing language learning from both sides—as a teacher and as a parent.

I’m also still learning Chinese myself. Sometimes I know left, right, up, and down, but I’m thinking, “That’s great... but how do I ask where the bathroom is?”

That experience made me look differently at my daughter’s English lessons. She was learning ABCs, colors, animals, and shapes—all important things—but I wanted her to learn the English she could actually use: “What’s your name?” “Can I play with you?” “I need help.”

And then something funny happened. Sometimes Liana learned better talking to Bo than talking to Daddy!

That’s how Uncle Kevin and Bo became a team.

You’ll also notice that my Chinese isn’t perfect. Sometimes it’s pretty 马马虎虎 (mǎmǎhūhū)—just so-so. And my videos aren’t Hollywood productions either! I put most of my time and resources into the lessons themselves and into finding simple, fun ways to help children learn.

My goal with ABC With Me is simple: teach children useful English they can start using today,
